Sweetness from Martini Rosso gets contra balanced with the bitterness of the Campari and gin. Giving Negroni an utterly unique and acquired taste.
Do you shake Negroni?
Absolutely not, this drink is made to be stirred and not shaken. This aperitif which is served before dinner with nibbles and appetizers in Italian bars which needs to be quick to make so the customers have a drink before getting home for dinner.

Where is Negroni originates from?
It is believed that Negroni is coming from Florence, Italy. Therefore, it was first made in 1919 at Café Casoni, when Count Camillo Negroni asked for an ‘Americano with a little extra kick’. The barman Fosco Scarselli experimented by adding a little gin to Count’s favourite aperitif, which soon became Count Negroni favourite drink.

1 shot Campari
1 shot Gin
1 shot Martini Rosso
Orange peel for decoration
Method
- Add some ice in to the old fashion glass
- Pour in Campari, Gin and Martini Rosso
- Stir the mixture
- Add orange peel for decoration
- Enjoy
If you find the cocktail a little strong and bitter flavours do not satisfy your pallet, you might prefer Frangelico Cocktail!

Hint and Tips
