frangelico cocktail in the small tumbler with cocktail shaker and lemons

Bellissimo is a Frangelico cocktail combined with Campari and limoncello.

When all the ingredients are combine, they reveal the sweetness of the hazelnuts and the bitterness of the orange in Campari giving you a unique flavour. I would describe it as sweet and sour cherry flavour!?

Not only … but also  this is an interesting combination! I would almost call Frangelico cocktail a female version of Negroni.

Frangelico is a hazelnut and herb liquor produced in the Piedmont region, north Italy. Amazingly, this liquor has been produced for more than 300 years, it’s origin dates back to the early presence of Christian monks. Therefore such an old liquor has some unique ingredients, the hazelnuts that used are from Piedmont and called – Tonda Gentile.

Let's Make Frangelico cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 1 shot Frangelico liquire
  • 1 shot Campari
  • 1 shot Limoncello
  • ½ freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 slice of lemon for decoration

Method:

  • Take a cocktail shaker and fill it up with ice.
  • Add Frangelico, Campari, limoncello and lemon juice.
  • Finally, shake well for about 30 seconds.
  • Serve in the old fashion tumbler over ice and garnish with a slice of lemon.

Enjoy your frangelico cocktail! Preferably, serve it as an aperitif with some suppli al telefono of funghi fritti, nuts, marinated olives or some focaccia bread!

Meanwhile, you might also would like to try a Sidecar drink or rum with coconut water cocktail. Both recipes are super easy to make and extra delicious.
