Incredibly easy and truly delicious roasted carrots with cumin and rosemary are easy to make. It will take you 5 minutes to prep this dish and let the oven do the rest! This roasted carrots with rosemary and cumin is fantastic addition to any roasted meat of fish dishes. In this recipe I will help you show how you can make mouth watering roasted carrots side dish, using the most incredible herbs: cumin and rosemary. 

My whole family loves this recipe, you can use it with virtually any meat or fish dishes. 

Literally will take you only 5 minutes prep and then you are free to cook the rest of the meal, let the oven do the rest of the work!

LET'S MAKE ROASTED CARROTS WITH ROSEMARY

roasted carrots with cumin and rosemary

Ingredients:

  • Carrots 500 g
  • Olive oil 15 ml
  • Garlic 5 g
  • Picked rosemary 5 g
  • Ground cumin 5 ml
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Necessary Tools:

  • Chef knife
  • Chopping board
  • Silicon spoon
  • Baking tray

Method 

  1. Cut the carrots in sticks: cutting them in half lengthwise first and then half again or in thirds depending on the carrots size
  2. Place the sticks in a baking tray (use non stick tray or lay the tray with baking paper to prevent the carrots from sticking) 
  3. Drizzle with the olive oil
  4. Add the sliced garlic, picked rosemary, ground cumin and seasoning
  5. Mix with your fingers so that all the carrots sticks are evenly coated
  6. Place in a preheated oven and roast at 200 C or 400 F for 35 min
  7. Steer the carrots occasionally
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning
  9. Serve Hot

Hints and Tips

You may wish to substitute cumin powder with cumin seeds to add texture. In the event of cumin not being your favourite spice, feel free to add fennel seeds.

Roasted carrots will taste delicious with both of those spice combinations. 

This recipe is suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians, Meat Free, Gluten Free and Dairy Free diets.

Notes

HINT AND TIPS:
If you prefer, use cumin seeds instead of ground cumin. Not a big fan of cumin? Substitute cumin for fennel seeds!
