Sidecar

This amazing orange brandy Martini is so easy to make and will really get your party started. Serve it as an aperitif to your guests with nibbles, olives and cured meat like salami!

  • Sugar Syrup
  • Boil 250 ml of water with 150 g of sugar
  • For flavour add 1 tea spoon of vanilla extract
  • Once the water is boiled, stir the mixture until sugar is dissolved
  • Leave it to cool
  • Sidecar Cocktail
  • Take the cocktail shaker and fill it up with ice
  • Add Courvoisier, Countreau, sugar syrup and lemon juice
  • Close the lid and shake well
  • Using a sieve pour the mixture in the martini glass and enjoy

Notes

Hints and Tips

You don't have to make your own sugar syrup, simply buy it from any supermarket. I prefer to make it as it lasts for month, super easy to make and I can use it for other cocktail recipes.
Invest in the good cocktail shaker and a few different measures. I prefer to use standard professional measures as you always get additional 15ml measure at the back of the original one.
Make 2 cocktails at the same time in one shaker, just double up the recipe. Don't try to make more than 2 at the time as it will over spill.
